My family and I were very impressed with Jim Shores when we met with him to put my mom's house on the market. Jim went through the house and took measurements and notes, and he answered our questions. He was very professional and upfront with us. He understood taht mom had no money for repairs and inspections, etc., and understood that we wanted the house sold "as is".

He went over a comparable with us. He met with us on our time, knowing that I was from out of state, and he brought everything to us at the location instead of having to make extra arrangements for rides to his office (I didn't have a car and my daughter worked). When I was not in town, he met with my daughter where ever she might be, to deliver papers that I might need to help expediate our requests.

The house was listed for $65,000 and sold for $60,000, which we were very happy with because of the condition of the house. Mom was on Medicaid and they needed to know why the house did not sell for assessed value. Jim wrote a letter for me to send to Medicaid explaining why we got what we did and gave his number if they had any questions.

In our opinion, Jim went well above and beyond in his duties during the listing and sale of our mom's home.

To the auction team at Gateway, we couldn't be happier with the results of our auction. All we had to do was tell them what we wanted sold and they did the rest, which included cataloging, taking pictures, putting it all online, and supervising the auction.
